Thanks :-) I"ve always had a draw to this darker style. like nirvana always had that pain in it, but at the same time it was laced with this joy that you really couldn't put your finger on. but anyways, this song is one of my favorites, because it kind of captures that whimsical pain. lyrically, one thing most people don't pick up on is that the words i hold out in the chorus have an entirely different message than the actual words, which is why i parenthasized them (did i just make up a word? yeah.) which was my attempt at expressing both internal and external both at once.
